Collaborate with Us!

What’s Happening News! is a semi-annual 4-color designed publication for county organizations to speak for themselves, remain transparent, get critical updates to their urban and rural communities, and provide resources aimed to improve quality of life for their communities and constituents. It is the tangible proof of your organization’s hard work sent to every mailbox in your county.

Collaborating Organization Guidelines:
What’s Happening News! has remained a trustworthy resource for counties since 1991 because…

  • Our content remains apolitical and secular.

  • Our content is inclusive and relevant to all.

  • Our publication aims to inform, not persuade.

  • Every page is filled with relevant county related content - not cluttered with advertisements.

  • Content offered tends to help readers feel more connected and informed about where they live, and become more familiar with the leadership in their communities.

  • Readers love to know how their tax dollars are being used for education, health, transportation, environmental safety, legal policies, regional news, and local entertainment programming.

Costs

For the best value, all costs are shared equally by the participating organizations.

Our costs are determined by actual costs for printing, postage, design, and program management services and vary due to county population. We produce magazines that typically vary between 16-24 pages. For the fiscal year of 2021 - 2022, the cost per page for organizations is as follows:

Regional organizations that appear in all six Northern Kentucky What’s Happening! publications over the course of a year’s time receive a 10% discount. Any organization that purchases 4 pages for the centerfold or elsewhere is entitled to 1,000 overprints of those 4 pages free of charge.
